About me

Production editor at a small university press, going on nine years now, which means I've read more citation styles and index entries than any reasonable person should have to, and it's exactly why a badly organized rulebook or a book that can't find its own point gets under my skin faster than it probably should.

I edit for a living, which either explains or was caused by how much I care whether a rulebook actually teaches you the game or just lists it at you. Most nights I've got a book going, most Thursdays I've got a game on the table, and some weeks it's both. I write these up because I kept losing my own notes on why something worked or didn't, and a page beats the backs of receipts.
